I have been involved in real estate since 1984, primarily working with agricultural property acquisitions in Illinois and throughout the U.S, up until 2005. My specialty is negotiating contracts, coordinating due diligence and closings for private acquisitions and investment property. My most challenging task was to coordinate and close 21 transactions, with property located in 5 states, in one day…successfully.
Since moving to Florida I obtained my Florida salesperson’s license and now work in residential real estate and love it. Being a real “people person” I enjoy finding just that “right” home for my buyers and making sure the closings go as smoothly as possible. I especially enjoy working with first time homebuyers and military families moving to our area.
Greg and I have been married since 1995 and between us have 4 children: Joel , Jody, Lea & Garth. We also have 8 wonderful grandchildren living in Illinois and ranging in age from 1-18, which we enjoy and miss immensely. Garth is an honor student at Southern Illinois University and a member of the Army ROTC. Greg and I enjoy working in the yard, walking in the neighborhood and going to the beach in St. Augustine as often as possible.
Being active in the community has been an important part of my life. I coordinated the MS Walk in Champaign, IL for 10 years and facilitated an MS Support Group for over 10 years primarily because my mother had MS. I currently volunteer for Juvenile Diabetes; one of my grandsons has been insulin dependent since he was 10. Rotary has been an important pat of my life since 1995 and was very proud to earn my Paul Harris Fellowship.
